Tales of Ilusión, 2026
Immersive XR installation based on photographic works TALES OF ILUSION expands the photographic research of the ILUSION series into immersive extended reality (XR) environments. Based on five works from the original series, the project translates photographic surfaces into inhabitable spatial fields, where the image shifts from a plane into an atmosphere. Within these environments, the viewer no longer observes the image from the outside; they enter it. Perception is activated through the body: hand gestures modulate light, spatial rotation, and the atmospheric elements that shape each scene. Photography is thus transformed into a perceptual architecture. Developed in collaboration with Amplified Software, the project explores how immersive technologies can operate as instruments of perceptual reflection rather than devices of spectacle. The work shifts photography from representation toward direct experience, allowing the visual fragility explored in ILUSION to become a spatial and embodied condition.
