SoUNd
SoUNd is a project that addresses questions about the nature of human perception and sound, related to the mental and philosophical experiment: "If a tree falls in the forest and there is no one around to hear it, does it make noise?" that generates questions about the observation and knowledge of reality, which the artist transits from a language of visual and sound representation, in relation to the limits of perception and experience. The project has as a reference the astronomical sonification projects that evidence the representation of the cosmos, an unreachable space in terms of human experience, through translations of physical phenomena to image, and assigning meanings through color and the use of a musical language; with the special intention of questioning the objectivity and false inclusion they contain in terms of language and interpretation. These frictions that enclose the optical and sensorial universe in relation to realities-spaces-times-bodies of nature located at a distance, such as celestial bodies, the trees of a forest, and their representation, invite the artist to question and propose other ways of interpreting them, and make possible other forms of experience and relationship with them.
